Misty was one of our small sheltland pony mares who taught many children to ride in our riding school progarm at Wolfden Farm near Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She loved to eat (and eat, and eat) so we gave her the show name of 'the Pumpkin Princess'. Misty has now moved to another farm where she is the special friend of an autistic child.
The Thousand Islands region of Ontario, Canada, was the perfect backdrop for a childhood filled with adventure for Richard De Wolfe, an artist who still identifies strongly with rural life. The forests, fields, and of course the mighty St. Lawrence River, made the wonders of nature come alive for him.
